Within the framework of the Presidency Meeting and taking advantage of the presence of political leadership, this session will relate the discussions held during the previous days to the work of the World Organization. It will connect the dots between the international context and the mandate and work of UCLG.
The Organization has made strong strides in recent years, enhancing its relevance as a political actor and voice of local and regional governments. It has expanded its capacity as a representative body and political actor. Given the current context, it is time to ask ourselves how UCLG can remain a space of convergence without deluding values. Do we need to give priority to the convening role of the Organization before the capacity to foster renewed policies?
The session should allow UCLG political leaders to provide their vision on the priorities for UCLG. Where do we need to invest the political capital of the Organization at the wake of the UCLG Congress? How do we work with non-state actors?

En el marco de la reunión de la Presidencia y aprovechando la presencia de los líderes políticos, esta sesión relacionará los debates mantenidos durante los días anteriores con la labor de la Organización Mundial. Establecerá vínculos entre el contexto internacional y el mandato y la labor de CGLU.
La Organización ha avanzado mucho en los últimos años, reforzando su relevancia como actor político y voz de los gobiernos locales y regionales. Ha ampliado su capacidad como órgano representativo y actor político. Dado el contexto actual, es el momento de preguntarnos cómo CGLU puede seguir siendo un espacio de convergencia sin traicionar sus valores. ¿Debemos dar prioridad al papel de convocatoria de la Organización antes que a su capacidad para fomentar políticas renovadas?
La sesión debería permitir a los líderes políticos de CGLU aportar su visión sobre las prioridades de la Organización. ¿Dónde debemos invertir el capital político de la Organización tras el Congreso de CGLU? ¿Cómo trabajamos con los actores no estatales?

Elle a élargi sa capacité en tant qu'organe représentatif et acteur politique. Compte tenu du contexte actuel, il est temps de nous demander comment CGLU peut rester un espace de convergence sans trahir ses valeurs. Devons-nous donner la priorité au rôle de rassembleur de l'Organisation plutôt qu'à sa capacité à promouvoir des politiques renouvelées ?
