The Annual Meeting of the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments will be looking at the GTF’s joint work program and the international agenda of 2026.
As in previous editions, the meeting of the Global Taskforce will provide space to reflect collectively on our shared agenda and to advance the elements that require coordination across the Taskforce. Participants will explore how local and regional actions are driving international milestones, including the midterm review of the New Urban Agenda, the 13th World Urban Forum, the High Level Political Forum, with the review of the SDG11, 2026 UN Water Conference, or CBD, UNCCD and UNFCCC COPs, while reinforcing the crucial role of local and regional governments in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.

La réunion annuelle de la Global Taskforce des gouvernements locaux et régionaux se penchera sur le programme de travail commun de la GTF et sur l'agenda international de 2026.
Comme lors des éditions précédentes, la réunion de la Global Taskforce sera l'occasion de réfléchir collectivement à notre agenda commun et de faire avancer les éléments qui nécessitent une coordination au sein de la Taskforce. Les participant·e·s examineront comment les actions locales et régionales contribuent à la réalisation d'étapes internationales importantes, notamment l'examen à mi-parcours du Nouvel Agenda Urbain, le 13e Forum urbain mondial, le Forum politique de haut niveau, avec l'examen de l'ODD 11, la Conférence des Nations Unies sur l'eau de 2026, ou les COP de la CDB, de la CNULCD et de la CCNUCC, tout en renforçant le rôle crucial des gouvernements locaux et régionaux dans la promotion des Objectifs de développement durable.
